gizmos and tunes.

The Dell XPS M1330 had a number of kinks in its supply change, resulting in severely delayed shipping times. I was expecting it to ship promptly, but calls to customer service led me nowhere. And so, we canceled the order. Boo-hoo. Instead of an XPS M1330, my brother will be getting a 15″ MacBook Pro.

Now we have two MacBook Pros en route to my uncle’s home. He got the low-end 15″ MBP, I opted for the high-end model. Someday pictures will come..

I’m in the midst of packing up and organizing things for my return to the US. There’s so much that I’ve picked up over the years, neglected, allowed to go to waste. I suppose there isn’t any more time to back through it all so most of the effects that I find, buried deep in drawers, will be discarded as refuse. No time to keep looking back. It’s a funny feeling, really.

I found a great way to get all of the music that I want at no risk. Completely free of any P2P networks, without fear of having my traffic monitored by anyone. By avoiding BitTorrent networks and other common P2P applications, I don’t risk getting flagged by the RIAA for my music downloads. I download whatever music I want from a library of over 2.5 million tracks, strip the music of DRM, and toss it into my iTunes Library. It’s hardly legal, and it works.
